Wake up! It’s the start of Advent. This week we’ll be thinking about how we prepare for Christ’s coming. At both services (10am and 6pm) there will also be an update on the Child Contact Centre (see prayer pointers below) and news from the PCC about our budget next year.

Come and learn some Christmas songs to sing at Carols by Candlelight on the 18th December! There will be 4 rehearsals during advent. Recognising it’s a busy time of year, we would ask people to attend a minimum of 2 rehearsals if possible. The first rehearsal is Saturday 26th November 5-6pm. Please see the notices for the other rehearsal dates.

Please let us know if you would like to join the team visiting the Retirement Communities this Christmas. We lead a short service and then enjoy some refreshments with the residents – it’s always a joy to meet and chat with them. Please see the notices for further details.

The building team have been pleased to receive three suggested options for developing the chapter house from our architect. There will be the opportunity for church members to view and discuss these options on Saturday November 19th in the chapter house. Drop in anytime between 10am and 12pm and enjoy a cup of coffee too!

At our Morning Worship this Sunday we mark the end of the church year with a celebration of the festival of ‘Christ the King’. There will be a children’s group during the service. All are welcome!

Our next meeting is at Emmanuel on the 14th of November when we have a talk entitled - ‘Loughborough Carillion’ -the story of how the town chose to build this unique war memorial. The meeting will be held in the lounge where we start with coffee at 10:30am. All men are welcome.

Come and join us for Forest Church this Saturday! Mossy Church will run from 3pm to 4:30pm, and this week we will be making Christmas tree decorations. As always followed by marshmallows and hot chocolate! Campfire Compline has now finished for the winter months – we hope to bring this back in the Springtime!
