St Mary's Notices - 27th October 2024
Morning Worship at 10am and Evening Communion at 6pm
All are welcome at our morning and evening service this week as we explore the gift of God’s word and how often we refuse to "read the manual" or try and make it say something different. Readings this week are: 2 Tim 3:14 - 4:5, John 5:36b-end. At both services this Sunday we will have an update from Soar Project.

St Mary's Notices - 13th October 2024
Harvest in the Barn at 10am, Home Farm Nanpantan,
At 10am, all are welcome to join us for our annual Harvest in a Barn service, which will take place as usual at Home Farm. (From church, turn down Woodhouse Lane and look for the driveway on the right). There will be a service in the barn with activities for all ages, followed by an optional trail through the walled garden
at Nanpantan Hall and up to St Mary's where there will be tea & cake for everyone! Parking is available at Home Farm. Please bring your own chair and wear clothes suitable for the weather – warm layers advised!
Harvest Communion and Songs of Praise at 6pm.
Then at 6pm, please join at St Mary’s as we celebrate Harvest and Creationtide with a service of readings and favourite hymns. Please invite family and friends to both services, all are welcome!

St Mary's Notices - 29th September 2024
Morning Communion at 10am and Evening Worship with Prayers for Healing at 6pm. This week we complete our journey through the letter of James, thinking about building one another up through prayer. There will be a children’s group during the morning service, and the opportunity for receiving prayers for healing in the evening, and anointing with oil. This week’s readings are James 5:13-20 and Mark 9:38-50.

Please join us on Sunday 22nd September for our services of Morning Worship at 10am and Evening Communion at 6pm.
Earthly or Heavenly Motives? As we continue our journey through the letter of James, we think about the choices we make and the motives that lie behind them. Readings are James 3:13-4:10 and Mark 9:30-37.
There will be a children’s group during the service and both services will feature an update from on the work of local charity STEPS.

This week we continue exploring James. In Chapter 3 we are reminded that following Jesus affects how we use language for his kingdom. Readings are James 3:1-12 and Mark 8:27-38 and there will be a children’s group during the service. Everybody is extremely welcome.

St Mary's Notices - 8th September 2024
Sunday 8th September: Join us for All Together Worship at 10am and Evensong at 6pm. Faith without works is dead! Come and find out more about what it means to be a living witness to the faith we proclaim as we look at James chapter two. In the morning service, we are all together and we will have different options for exploring the passage. In the evening communion service Ian will unpack the passage. Readings are James
2:1-17 and Mark 7:24-37.

Please join us today (Sunday 1st September) for our All Together Agape at 10am and Evensong at 6pm.
We will begin a new series on the letter of James. It’s also the start of Creationtide and love and care for God’s creation will be reflected throughout our services this month. Readings will be James 1:1-27 and Mark 7:1-23.

St Mary's Notices - 25th August 2024
Everyone is welcome to our services on Sunday, led by Revd Dave Rollet and with an update on our charity this month, HoverAid. Morning Worship will be at 10am and Evening Communion at 6pm.T he readings are Hosea 4:1-9 and Matthew 12:1-8. God's faithfulness is never-ending. As we look at Hosea this week, we will see that no matter how many times we sin and go astray God's faithful love comes to our rescue.

St Mary's Notices - 11th August 2024
Sunday 11th August: Please join us at St Mary's for our All Together Worship at 10am and Evening Communion at 6pm. Everyone is welcome as we continue our exploration of the Minor Prophets, this
week considering the book of Joel. There are a selection of readings from the book of Joel in the morning,
and in the evening the readings are Joel 2:18-32 and Mark 13:24-37. The morning service will be suitable for
all ages and there will be the opportunity to make your own hopping locust!

This week’s prophet is Habakkuk. The readings are Habakkuk 3:1-4 16-19 (1-19 pm) and Romans 8:31-39.
