We move to St. Mary’s for our next meeting on the 15th May, a talk about Mercy Ships, a global Christian charity operating hospital ships to bring hope and healing to those with disability, disfigurement, and disease in less well-developed countries. A collection will be taken for their work. We start with coffee from 10:15am and all men are welcome.

All Together Morning Worship at 10am and Evening Communion at 6pm.
There will be activities suitable for all ages at the 10am service – please invite others to come along as we learn together about the Holy Spirit, our helper and guide. 6pm will be a service of Holy Communion, all welcome.

All Together Communion at 10am and Special Evensong for the Coronation at 6pm. Everyone is welcome to join us for worship on Sunday. At the 10am service we will be considering Jesus: the Way, the Truth and the Life and sharing in communion as all ages together. The 6pm will be a special service of Evensong to
mark the Coronation, reflecting on the role for which King Charles has been anointed.

On Saturday the 6th of May we will be streaming the live televised events of the coronation of King Charles III at St Mary’s. There will be tea & coffee served from 10am before the ceremony starts at 11am, followed by a Bring & Share lunch at approximately 12:30pm, and then a half hour sing-along at about 2pm. Craft activities for children will be available throughout in the Chapter House, and also a ‘Crown Hunt’ around the woodland. An email invitation will be sent out in the coming week and there will be an opportunity to let us know what food you are able to bring for the lunch. Please come and join us for this historical occasion, and feel free to bring friends and family too!

The next meeting will be at the Forest Gate (i.e., the Toby Carvery on Forest Road) on Friday 5th May. We start between 8 and 8:15pm. All men of working age are welcome to join us over a drink and friendly discussions about work, St. Mary’s, local issues, and people’s interests. The next meeting of St Mary’s Ladies Group will take place on Tuesday, 2nd May at 10:30am at a member’s home. The theme of the meeting will be “Coronation”. Please bring along any memorabilia. Donations to the Food Bank, such as Cereal, Tinned Soup, Rice (microwaveable), Tea Bags, Pasta, Sugar, Shampoo and Conditioner are always gratefully received. If you feel like enjoying a relaxing and uplifting Spring evening with music and refreshments in April, the EVE Piano Trio will be presenting a concert on Friday April 28th at St Mary’s; playing classical favourites from Haydn, Beethoven and Kreisler alongside dance music and a variety of favourite pieces; something for everyone! The concert starts at 7:30pm, and tickets are free, but as space is limited, please book in advance (details are in the newsletter). Everybody welcome - please support our concert and church by donating at the end – thank you!

The two previous groups called Ladies who Lunch and Table Talk, have amalgamated to make one group. The new lunch group has kept the name “Table Talk.” Previously for ladies and gents who lived alone, the group now warmly invites anyone who would welcome some company whether they live alone or not. It is a lovely opportunity to meet together to share lunch and chat. The meetings take place on the last Wednesday of each month at the Toby Carvery, Forest Road at 12 noon. The Sunday Supper Social is returning! Directly after the 6pm service on Sunday the 23rd of April we will be going to the Harvester Inn for 7:15pm. All are welcome! Please note that the meal is being held at THE HARVESTER INN on Ashby Road, Loughborough, not the previous venue of The Priory.
