St Mary's Notices - 19th June 2023

This week is our annual Thanksgiving Sunday and also Fathers’ Day – a great opportunity to give thanks to our Heavenly Father for his many blessings and to review our giving in response. Please join us for Morning Communion and/or Evening Worship both of which will include an update on church finances. There will be a children’s group running during the 10am service.

Monday Morning Men’s Meeting – Monday 12th June at 10:15am

Our next meeting at St. Mary’s on the 12th of June is a talk: ‘Trade Unions and Industrial Relations Development’. We start with coffee at 10:30am and all men are welcome.

Mossy Church – Saturday 11th June at 3pm-4:30pm

11 Jun 2023

Come and join us around the firepit in the woodland of St Mary’s for a song, a short bible reading, and activities that make the most of our woodland setting. As usual there will be lots of marshmallows and hot chocolate! (Mossy Church is now on the 2nd Saturday of the month only).

Campfire Compline – Saturday 11th June at 4:45pm-5:15pm

Campfire Compline is back!! Returning monthly on the second Saturday of the month from 4:45pm to 5:15pm. Join us for a short reflective service in the woodland around the firepit.

All Together Morning Worship will be at 10am and Holy Communion at 6pm. What does ‘Merciful Living’ mean to you? At the 10am All Together service we will be exploring the theme of Mercy through a variety of activities around the building and woodland and through the sharing of thoughts and prayers. The evening service will be based on the same readings and include the sharing of Holy Communion. All are welcome.

All Together Communion will take place at 10am this Sunday. David Newman will be with us as we think about the Trinity and the words we say in the Grace. This is an All Together service where we learn and worship as a whole congregation. Everyone is welcome. Please remember there is NO 6PM SERVICE at St Mary’s this Sunday. Instead, please come along to the Deanery Confirmation Service at St Peter and St
Paul’s Church, Church St, Hathern, at 6pm.

Table Talk – Wednesday 31st May at 12pm

31 May 2023

This group warmly invites anyone who would welcome some company whether they live alone or not. It is a lovely opportunity to meet together to share lunch and chat. The meetings take place on the last Wednesday of each month at the Toby Carvery, Forest Road at 12 noon. Please contact admin@stmaryincharnwood.org.uk if you would like any more details. St Mary's Notices - 28th May 2023

We hope you will be able to join us this Sunday for Morning Worship at 10am and Evening Communion at 6pm, both with an Advocate slot. This Sunday is Pentecost, when we remember the coming of the Holy Spirit to empower the disciples to witness. There will be a group for children running during the morning service and in both services, there will be the opportunity to be anointed with oil of chrism, inviting the Holy Spirit to fill us anew.

St Mary's Notices - Sunday 21st May 2023

Morning Communion at 10am this week will be celebrating the Ascension of Christ - a children's group will be running during the service.
Worship with a Classical Flavour at 6pm is a short evening service followed by refreshments and a half hour concert - César Franck's magnificent Sonata for Piano and Violin.
