Adele's letter 17th January - Second Sunday of Epiphany

Let us all know God is always with us, especially as these difficult times continue and we are physically separated from family and friends. Let us try to keep each other going with support at a distance using the internet, phone or other means such as letter writing.
'We are pilgrims on a journey, fellow travellers on the road; we are here to help each other walk the mile and bear the load.’

Adele's letter 10th January - Baptism of Christ

As we enter the new lockdown let us know for ourselves and others that nothing is impossible without God. Let us shine a light of joy and hope to others in these difficult times.

Adele's letter 3rd January - 2nd Sunday of Christmas

As we start a new year it is traditional to renew our commitment to following Christ.
" Let this covenant now made on earth be fulfilled in heaven. Amen"

Nativity in the Woods - every day including Christmas Eve 10:00-14:00

Take a walk through the woods at St Marys and uncover more of the nativity story. Around the woods are silhouettes of parts of the story with opportunities to hear more by scanning a QR code and watching or listening to part of the story before moving onto the next one.

Adele's letter 27th December - 1st Sunday of Christmas

As we come to grips with ever changing plans to be with loved ones in some way let us hold onto the central message of Christmas that Christ is born and God is with us.
‘Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.’ Luke 2:14

Adele's letter 20th December - Fourth Sunday of Advent

In all the busy preparations for our different kind of Christmas please take a moment to pause and find stillness with God. We are encouraged to place ourselves, thoughts and concerns in his hands.
‘Be still and know that I am God.’ Psalm 46:10

Adele's letter 13th December - Third Sunday of Advent

This week's advent candle is for joy and these words from the Message version of Psalm 33 are good to reflect on as we put our trust in God.

'We’re depending on God; he’s everything we need. What’s more, our hearts brim with joy since we’ve taken for our own his holy name. Love us, God, with all you’ve got – that’s what we’re depending on.'

Adele's letter 6th December - Second Sunday of Advent

In these troubled times, during Advent let us remember that God is not only with us but wants the best for us and is encouraging us on as we continue to put our trust in him. The candle to be lit this week is for peace.

Adele's letter 29th November - Advent Sunday

As Advent commences we prepare for the coming of Christ first as a baby, and then to his promise of coming again as King.
“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” Rev 3:20 NLT

Chris York the Coordinator for Project 5000 sends St Marys a message of thanks for our continuing support with non perishable food and toiletries.

Adele's letter 22nd November - Christ the King

We are reminded that Christ is in charge of whatever we are going through with the hope that we find renewed energy and strength in all we do in the days to come.

Adele's letter 15th November - Vision Sunday

We are invited to bring our brokenness to God that He may shape and restore us in these difficult times so that treasure can be found in our mended scars.
